Its that time of year when everything is a bit grey but then you look out into your garden, parks or open spaces, and there you have the first of the bulbs just pushing their bright green shoots though the soil ready to explode into life.
Well my most favourite is the small, pretty white flowers that are known as snowdrops that are enjoyed for their beauty, but people also look forward to seeing them grow each year for another significant reason. A blooming snowdrop means spring is on its way. As one of the first plants to bloom when winter moves into spring, snowdrops are the bright little messengers that tell everyone the long winter is coming to an end.
