So often we are asked where our lovely flowers come from and how we choose them. Surely, with so much choice, you must have a secret recipe or something…? I was discussing this with one of my lovely Floral Artisans, and she said that I should put this in my blog.
For me, like many of my “big” decisions in business, I am a little bit head, and a lot of heart. My choice of flowers for our little shop is largely an emotional decision – which may also explain the variety over the course of a week. Sorry lovelies – no secret formula…
I buy what I love. I also buy for who is going to be in the shop, as we all have special favourites, and it’s nice to spoil the team. I love hearing, when a delivery comes in – “Oh wow! This is my absolute favourite! I know just how I will be using this today!!” – and I think to myself… “Our wonderful, special customers are in for a real treat”.
See… we really do put a little bit of our hearts in every bouquet we send out.
